LED Marquee for Bally KISS Pinball Machines (not yet avail)

Last Updated: 13Nov24

This is currently on hold as I work on higher priority Pinball boards. I hope to get working on it again in the spring of 2025.

This is a work in progress. As a minimum, I will have one in my Bally KISS machine. I'm hoping that the design, base cost, and reliability is good enough to offer it to other Bally KISS machine owners. Stay tuned to my website or YouTube channel for the latest videos on this new design.

What is it? It is a plug-and-play Multi-color LED replacement for the AS-2518-43 auxilary lamp driver board and lamps in the marquee on the Bally KISS machine. It will operate the same as the stock marquee in that it will have an attract mode between games and tell you which letters you have collected while in game play. The difference is that they will be multi-color and have various animations. There are buttons on the board to change animation modes (including the stock white animation) as well as a brightness button.

Installation is simple. Remove your stock AS-2518-43 lamp driver board and replace with mine. Remove the lamps from the sockets in the marquee. Install my four lamp boards with simple screws. Install interconnect wires between my boards. And turn it on!

Where am I at right now? It has two modes of operation. In test mode, it will auto play the attract animation at all times - even when playing a game. I have this working. The second mode is regular mode. In regular mode it will respond to commands from the MPU. I'm still working on this one. It is a little intermittent on detecting letter off commands.
