Support - Centaur/Centaur II Say It Again Reverb/Echo Board for Replacement Squawk & Talk Board

I am offering an alternative to the Bally AS-2518-81 "Say It Again" board for use with my Replacement Squawk & Talk Sound Board. This alternative is a board that contains a PT2399 echo chip and is powered by 12 volts. Turn the knob to adjust between no echo (full counterclockwise) to a long repeating echo (full clockwise).

See this video on the various ways my Replacement Squawk & Talk Sound Board can create the Say It Again echo/reverb of Centaur including my PT2399 echo board and harness.

Below is a couple of photos of the alternative Say It Again Reverb/Echo board and how it connects to my Replacement Squawk & Talk Sound Board. When you purchase one of my Reverb/Echo boards, you will get: PT2399 Echo Board, 3D printed bracket, wire harness to J2 connector and speaker, 12v power wires, two 1/2-inch hex wood screws to mount the bracket.

Sound Input and Output Wires are Marked
Yours may have different input and output connectors into the PT2399 board. Your 3D printed PT2399 mounting bracket may have a different color as well. Currently I am shipping ones printed in black.

Instructions:
Start with the machine off and nothing powered.
1. Move Jumper on Replacement S&T Board to JP0 ECHO.
2. Connect PT2399 harness housing to 10-pin J2 header on Replacement S&T Board.
3. Connect wire marked with "I" to the IN+ pin on the PT2399 board.
4. Connect wire marked with "O" to the OUT+ pin on the PT2399 board.
5. Connect red and black wire pair betweem 12v screw terminals on Replacement S&T board and PT2399 VCC screw terminals. Red to +, Black to -. Verify. There is no reverse voltage protection on the PT2399. If you have the power backwards it will destroy the PT2399 board.
6. Connect two-pin PT2399 harness header to machine's speaker connector (J2 Housing).
7. Mount PT2399 board near-by using supplied 1/2-inch hex wood screws.

Will the PT2399 board work with the original Squawk and Talk Board? I have not tried it. But it should. The difference is that you will have to power it with 12v externally and make sure the ground of the power supply is the same as the ground for the S&T board. Or use the 12v from TP3 on your stock S&T board and it's ground.
